thin mint matcha smoothie
a fun little take on our fave girl scout cookies – thin mint matcha smoothie! a thick + creamy smoothie full of protein and superfoods to fuel your body that also tastes like dessert.
i love this smoothie because it tastes absolutely delicious but it also has so many health benefits thrown in. matcha is amazing for energy + high in antioxidants, cinnamon is an amazing natural anti-inflammatory and helps balance blood sugar, protein powder is my favorite way to add extra protein into my diet, nut butter for some healthy fats, and banana for some fresh fruit, fiber, + potassium.
ingredients
1 frozen banana
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp matcha powder
1 serving vanilla/chocolate protein powder
-if using vanilla protein then add in a tbs of cacao powder too
1 tsp nut butter
handful of ice
a little plant milk to blend
throw all of your ingredients in a blender and top with cacao nibs + whatever else you love!
